Since the animations I've uploaded have been rather troublesome and not been able to play very well (or not at all), I created a youtube account where I will upload the animations and link my blog to. I hope this will work out for the better.

Experimenting with long exposure photoes.

These are some long exposure photos I took last night. Instead of capturing one moment with the camera I experimented with capturing several moments from different realities, into one photo. I used what was showing on tv/youtube videos on the computer, photography I've taken, my backyard and pointed light sources (such as, the microwave light). This allows me to collage together pieces in a strictly digital way and get a different expression and feel to it.

Choices...say what?

These past two days I've done a lot of thinking. First of all, I was thinking that I'd like to start sharing my thoughts here a little more often. A more personal blog could be more fun to follow (I cross my fingers for that). The other thing I've been thinking about is all this art making. There are so many choices to take that I tend to get lost in them. When I can create absolutely whatever I want, I get more lost than if I have guidelines to follow. So I decided to go trace my steps backwards to see if I could find something to work forward on. Here is a drawing I started a few weeks ago of my dog in Norway, yet never finished. Now it's done, and that's two hours before my own deadline runs out. Barely made it.

Ready, set...GO!

Hello! I am super excited to see that my sister, who just moved to the Philippines to work as an English teacher at an elementary school for 13 weeks, created a blog where she will be documenting her experience. So I thought I would share the link to her site here (located underneath), in case YOU would be interested in her adventures. She writes in Norwegian, so if you can't read Norwegian there are plenty of awesome pictures to look at. I know for a fact that I will be following her posts daily.
Now that summer is coming to an end (at least for me) I'm done with my traveling and back in Portland ready for school to start, I have decided that I will be drawing every day and post something HERE every other day, to pick up my game before school starts. So be warned, soon this site will be bombarded with silly drawings and windows into my sketchbook.

Work in progress

Mixed media portrait of my grandpa. I plan on working a little bit more on this piece once I get back to Portland.  If you have any thoughts about this piece, let me know. Light experiment through long expose photography

These are a coupple of long expose light photographs I took for my math project.

It's the first time I've tried my hand on anything like this.
